Underground Artistry’s 2nd Annual Fashion Show & Showcase

Punto Space in the Herald Square area of NYC was filled with around 60 guests who came out to enjoy Underground Artistry 2nd Annual Fashion Show & Showcase hosted by Love & Hip Hop NY reality star and model, Erica Mena. She introduced three designers – Cande NYC, Nene L.A. Shiro, and Le Rêver. Pink Carpet Host Rae Holliday introduced the final designer ShayXclusive. In between the fashion showcase, Patricia Marte, a spoken word artist recited one of her poetry. Justina Valentine, who was supposed to perform her new single “Faded” could not because of microphone issues, so it was played instead and she walked the runaway, which was very entertaining!

Everyone listened to DJ Olivia Dope music selections while taking selfies with Erica, and browsing through the vendor tables – Sassories, Rysk Designs and Primrose Couture and stayed hydrated with water from sponsor Boxed Water is Better. At the end of the showcases, Keyola Cuisine distributed bite-size macaroni & cheese, meatballs, fried barbeque chicken breast with red velvet cake, and regular size strawberry cupcakes. All this was washed down with cocktails of VAMP fruit punch soda and Exclusiv Vodca. (Yes, vodka is spelled with a “c”). All guests went home with sponsors goodies in gift bags – Jannie’s Baby Bath Tub Tea, Smashes Lashes Luxury Faux Strip Eyelashes, Clique by Rogue nail lacquer and sample perfume and more.

Portions of the proceeds were donated to Spina Bifida Association. Spina Bifida is a birth defect where the spinal cord does not close all the way.
