The biting cold did not stop the crowd that poured in the the karaoke bar/ lounge, Maru, located in the Herald Square section area of New York for The Art of Luxury Grooming/Beauty Day Party presented by Tiny’s Tequila.
Coming off the elevator on the 4th floor, guests were greeted with the booming music played by the youngest DJ, Beauty and the Beatz who is only 13 years old!! There was endless chatter from guests meeting and greeting each other. You could not move from one side to the next without squeezing your way through. Special guests amongst the crowd were singer, Justina Valentine and a few casts from Love and Hip Hop – Tara Wallace, Benzino and Althea. DJ Queen of Spades played a few songs from Althea’s album, Controversy. Free copies of the album were available. If you wanted to mingle with Tiny, it was very slim unless you were interviewing her in the media/press room. She only came out to move to another room to be interviewed by Hip Hop Magazine, then out the door around 4pm.
Meanwhile, ladies were getting manicures, pedicures and 5 minute massages, by Pamper Perfect Mobile Spa. Vendor Mielle Organics hair products showed off their hair oils, deep conditioners and hair vitamins. Bar food was flowing non-stop of fried chicken, fries, onion rings and chicken tenders. To wash it all down, among the drinks of course was Tiny’s Tequila Lime Light and Orange Blossom delicious cocktails. Yum!
