No Shade Women’s Success Summit

MaseTV presented their first No Shade Women’s Summit at The Actors Company Theatre in the Flatiron District area of NYC, December 16th. Over 30 ladies filled the room to learn how to deal with life while structuring their businesses. They browsed around looking at clothing, nail polish and jewelry from vendor tables – Verj Nail Lacquer, Ola Beautique, It Works!, and Merveille&Co. Wherever the ladies felt a bit hungry or needed a drink, they had wine,fruit and Holistic Chef, Pierre McNeil’s brownies and pastry tarts. Yummm!

To start of the Summit, two performers – emcee Aeon the Ace and R&B singer, Brittany Campbell ripped the stage with their powerful lyrics. Jeroslyn, Founder of MaseTV and panel moderator, then introduced the seven women to the stage:

Windia Diuedonne – Experienced Ad-Sales/Programming Research Analyst and Civic Community Volunteer

Tiffany LaSister – RN, FNP-BC, Medicine Nurse Practitioner
Deborah Cadore – CEO The New You, Licensed Cosmetologist & Image Consultant
Jessica Layman – Entrepreneur & Financial Consultant

For an hour and a half, the panelist answered questions on numerous topics – Building Your Personal Brand, Social Media and Online Reputation, How to Manage Your Business While Working Full-Time, Self Empowerment Practices and Network Management. After, a mini performance of the comedy stage play “Trust No One” was performed by executive producer, Dominique Darrell who played, Gina and actor, Sean Bennett who played Tyrone. The audience loved it that they made sure they got the information on where to watch the play. There was a business card raffle for gift giveaways – a Carol Daughter’s gift bag, Taste of Travel gift baskets (a traveling agency that specializes in cruises and getaways), a one on one meeting with one of the panelists and more. Q&As, networking amongst the ladies, the vendors and the panelists closed out the evening and everyone went home with a gift bag.
